In the beginning . . .

This is the second beginning to our blog. Originally we started a blog to put the word out that we were looking to adopt a baby. Ironically, just a few weeks after we got it posted, we got a call from the adoption agency telling us we had been selected for placement. Even more exciting was the news that the birth mother was only two weeks away from giving birth. We brought home our beautiful baby boy Gabriel Dean on November 27th. It was the best early Christmas present either one of us has ever gotten. Even though we got a crash course on being parents, it has been the most fun twelve weeks ever. He's the best looking little boy (every parent says that, but in our case it's true). He has been royally spoiled by both sides of the family. He's the fourth grandchild/first grandson on my side and the first grandchild on Karynn's. Plus, we had an awesome amount of help from our church ward. All in all, we got so much stuff for him that we ran out of room. Like I said before, he's twelve weeks old now and he's more fun every day. We're going to use this blog to show him off (videos and pictures) starting with some of our favorites. That's all to come now. More to come later.
