We miss Hawaii!!!

Happy birthday David! Hope you're doing well, here's an update! So in July we were lucky enough to go to Hawaii for two and a half weeks, man was it hard to leave! Before Hawaii Jason's brother Chad got married to an awesome young lady named Mel (we love you) in Prosser, WA. We spent the day before making their wedding cake, a four tier, three layer behemoth. That was fun... After that we spent the fourth of July with my family in Cascade, ID and we all watched the fireworks over the lake. Gabe loved it! We had enough time to switch bags at home and drive to Preston before we left on the 6th of July. Gabe did so well on the 6 hour flight from Salt Lake City. He slept half of the time and watched a movie the rest of the flight. We stayed on Oahu the first night and explored the north shore (beautiful beaches). The next night we flew to the big island of Hawaii where we stayed for eight days. My parents came with us for about half of our trip. Gabe actually ate real food on the trip (he refuses to eat real food most of the time) and gained about two pounds while we were there (of which he lost when we got back, grrr...). He loved throwing rocks and sand and splashing in the water! He did very well in the car. The big island was so huge, you need a month just to see everything. The lava was so cool, and there were turtles galore. Jason and I went snorkeling with manta rays at night (kinda freaky...I got sea sick too...amazing experience, but take Dramamine before you do this). Then on the 15th we went to Kauai, perfect get away. it's not as nearly as crowded as Oahu or even Maui, the beaches are awesome and the snorkeling is great, hiking is amazing here, so get in shape before you come!! Gabe loved playing in the sand and running into the waves. The roads are pretty windy in some areas and he got a little car sick (poor kid). We left on the 22nd on a red eye flight, of which Gabe slept like a rock, and Jason and I fought for every wink of sleep we could get. It took about a week to recover from the time change and rush, but we have eventually got the hang of it. Well maybe in another twenty years we can get a condo or something there (haha). When we got back we were able to go to Jason's little sister's wedding at the Bountiful temple in UT, (we love you too Adam), which was absolutely beautiful! We are in the middle of making their wedding cake for their open house in Preston tomorrow (it looks like a cool green and pink dinosaur egg). Gabe is getting so tall but he's still a string bean. He is such a trouble maker too! He has soo much energy it's amazing. He just likes to run around the house going nuts. His favorite show is Little Einsteins on Disney and he absolutely loves his toy cars/trucks. He jabbers constantly, and I wish I knew what he is saying, but I can only catch a few words here and there. He is an amazing little boy, and I thank Heavenly Father everyday that he is in our lives. It's insane that he will be two in a few months...wow. Well here are a ton of pictures, enjoy!! P.S. I am officially licensed as a Dental Hygienist in Idaho (finally), so if any one knows of any jobs in the Post Falls/Coeur d'alene area, let me know!
